Paulo Henrique Braz-Silva is Assistant Professor of Pathology, Department of Stomatology, School of Dentistry and Research at the Laboratory of Virology, Institute of Tropical Medicine, University of São Paulo since 2014.

He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2003, and a Master degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in 2005 from University of São Paulo School of Dentistry.

PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from University of São Paulo School of Dentistry, and in Cellular and Molecular Biology from University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, in 2009. He has been conducting projects in oral disbiosis and salivary biomarkers in immunocompromised patients, specially human herpesviruses, polyomaviruses, human papillomaviruses and torque teno virus. He has published over 60 articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals.
